Baby Tad is an adorable, soft and cuddly frog who talks and sings and teaches shapes, colours and songs at the same time. He comes brightly coloured with flashing lights, friendly smiley face and a high, chirpy voice and sings six well-known and well-loved songs, including "Hickory Dickory Dock", "If You're Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Oh Where, Oh Where has my Little Dog Gone?", "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and "Baa Baa Black Sheep".
Turn him on and he'll say "Hi I'm Baby Tad, Lets Sing" and begin his enthusiastic play. In "Daytime" play mode, babies can press the smiley shapes on his bib has six buttons for a response. Babies are encouraged to press the button which is lit, and are rewarded with enthusiastic greetings and songs. Baby Tad also says cute phrases that babies will love at random times, such as "Peekaboo, I see you" and "Lets Snuggle". Press, or kiss the pink lip button on his cheek and Baby Tad kisses back, saying "mmmwahh, I love you!"
Possibly the most useful feature on the new and improved Baby Tad is the brand new "Night-time" phrase, a brilliant idea for babies who like familiar songs to go to sleep to. This mode is calming rather than interactive. Baby Tad can be programmed play up to six minutes of soothing classical music and lights, simply by pressing his hand, once, twice, and so on, up to six times for six minutes. He will announce "one minute to night night, two minutes to night night" etc: and the music then plays for the allotted time and stops without ceremony, a comforting series of tunes which will help lull little ones to sleep.
While using the toy, children can develop perceptual and reasoning skills; motor skills are also enhanced as children physically push a flashing shape, song and "kiss" buttons. Playing with Baby Tad also provides opportunities for exploration, creativity and social development, all necessary ingredients for children's learning. The toy is accompanied by an excellent parents' guide and instruction manual which is straightforward and easy to follow, has a handy volume control on the battery box and comes complete with three AA batteries.

The very first time you play with Hug & Learn Baby Tad, press the ON/OFF button on Baby Tad's foot to turn him on. Anytime after that, squeeze one of Hug & Learn Baby Tad's hands or press any shape on his bib to begin the fun!- Hear Six Bedtime Melodies Squeeze Baby Tad's right hand on the moon shape up to six times to hear one to six minutes of uninterrupted classical music. Each consecutive squeeze of Baby Tad's hand adds one additional minute of classical music, for a total of six minutes.
- Squeeze Baby Tad's left hand on the sun shape to hear one of six fun songs. To play a different song, squeeze Baby Tad's hand again. Baby Tad knows six fun children's songs: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, If You're Happy and You Know It, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Hickory Dickory Dock, Baa, Baa, Black Sheep, and Where Has My Little Dog Gone?
- Learn Colours and Shapes! At the end of every song, one shape on Baby Tad's bib flashes. Press the flashing shape. Baby Tad will say the colour and the name of the shape, and will reward you with a song. If you press a shape that is not flashing, Baby Tad will say the colour and the name of the shape.
- Give a Kiss! Press the lip shape on Baby Tad's cheek for a fun and friendly "I love you" kiss. Bye-bye! Automatic Shut-off. When you are finished playing, press the ON/OFF button on Baby Tad's right foot. Baby Tad will automatically turn off if he hasn't been used for 15 seconds.Press any button on Baby Tad to wake him up for more play.

Although it took a little while for our son to grow into his toy as we perhaps bought it too early (he is now 14 months), he now loves it. At night I put it into his bed with him after his feed and he listens to the classical music while he winds down to go to sleep. Then in the morning, I pop it back into his bed with him and he plays with it and presses all the buttons while I wake up myself. All in all it has proved invaluable and has helped him to get into a good bedtime routine. Really pleased with it.

I bought this for my grandaughter who is nearly 6 months, so she will get a lot of use out of it. The toy is well made, there are little songs to sing along to, it is educational,fun and cuddly. The shaped areas on it light up when singing about that particular shape and the sound can be turned down, she loves her baby tad!

Excellent product I already had one of these for my sons but purchased this new one for my gran-daughter who loved her uncles table. When I realised the table was bilingual as well I was very impressed. Not only will my gran-daughter enjoy playing she will hopefully develop an appetite for learning new languages, so I highly recommend this product.
